Lead Program Manager
The Lead Program Manager will oversee a portfolio of programs focused on modeling, simulation, and autonomy development within the Sensors Division at STR. This division specializes in advanced sensor systems and platforms supporting national security. The role involves managing multi-disciplinary teams across multiple STR campuses to meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives on complex national security programs.
Key responsibilities include executing multiple programs effectively, supporting proposal development, creating and managing subcontractor statements of work, leading multi-functional teams, providing regular program briefs to leadership, fostering a collaborative environment, monitoring progress against goals, and addressing security classification constraints.
Candidates should have an active Secret-level security clearance with the ability to obtain Top-Secret clearance, a technical undergraduate degree, and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in government contracting or research and development. Experience in program management, proposal management, and understanding security classification environments is required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, successful experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams, and strong presentation and organizational skills are essential.
Preferred qualifications include an active Top-Secret security clearance, experience with advanced RF or EO/IR system concepts, operational and systems analysis, autonomy behaviors and optimization, managing projects larger than $5M for the Department of Defense, risk and opportunity management experience, managing research and development programs, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
