Lead Mission Engineer - Full Stack

The Lead Mission Engineer - Full Stack at Systems & Technology Research (STR) is a pivotal role within the Analytics and Command & Control (AC2) Division, focusing on developing advanced technology solutions to enhance national security efforts. The Mission Applications (MA) Group within this division specializes in ensuring that STR's technology delivers significant mission impact, combining expertise in product management, software integration, and mission engineering.

In this role, the engineer will lead software teams to design, develop, and maintain software systems deployed in operational use. Responsibilities include building prototype capabilities, developing and enhancing features, system integration, customer collaboration, and deployment and field testing. The engineer will work closely with end-users and customers, typically military or government operators, to understand their requirements and translate them into software features.

Candidates should possess an active Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret level with SCI Eligibility, a BS in Computer Science or related technical field with at least 7 years of work experience, and experience deploying software for Department of Defense or Intelligence Community missions. Strong knowledge of modern technologies such as React, TypeScript, and Python is essential, along with a passion for crafting user-centric interfaces and a keen eye for design details.

The full-time salary range for this position is $175,000 to $240,000, based on factors such as experience, education, training, key skills, security clearances, and prevailing market and business conditions.
