In this role, the Lead Mission Engineer will lead software teams in designing, developing, and maintaining software systems deployed in operational environments. Responsibilities include building prototype capabilities, developing and enhancing features, system integration, and collaborating with end-users to understand and implement their requirements. The position also involves deployment and field testing, requiring travel to integration sites to deploy, test, and triage software in secure operational environments.
Candidates should possess an active Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret level with SCI Eligibility, a BS in Computer Science or a related technical field with at least 7 years of work experience, and experience deploying software for Department of Defense or Intelligence Community missions. Proficiency in modern technologies such as React, TypeScript, and Python is essential, along with a passion for crafting user-centric interfaces and a keen eye for design details. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are also required.
The full-time salary range for this position is $175,000 to $240,000, based on external market data and factors such as experience, education, training, key skills, security clearances, and prevailing market and business conditions.
