Lead Mission Engineer - Full Stack
STR is seeking a Lead Mission Engineer specializing in Full Stack development to join their Mission Applications Group within the Analytics and Command & Control (AC2) Division. This team is dedicated to creating advanced technology solutions that provide strategic advantages in the information domain, focusing on national security efforts. The role is based in Denver, Colorado.
In this position, the Lead Mission Engineer will be responsible for developing and deploying software systems tailored to specific mission objectives in collaboration with customers. Key duties include building prototype capabilities, enhancing features, integrating systems, collaborating with end-users to understand requirements, and overseeing deployment and field testing in secure operational environments. The role involves leading cross-functional engineering teams to design, build, and deploy cohesive systems, ensuring high standards of quality, reliability, and performance.
Candidates should possess an active Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret level with SCI Eligibility. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, along with at least seven years of relevant experience, is required. Experience deploying software for Department of Defense or Intelligence Community missions is essential. Proficiency in modern technologies such as React, TypeScript, and Python is necessary, along with a passion for crafting user-centric interfaces and a keen eye for design details.
The compensation for this full-time position ranges from $175,000 to $240,000 annually, based on factors such as experience, education, training, key skills, security clearances, and prevailing market conditions.
