Headspace is seeking part-time, independently licensed therapists to provide virtual mental health services to clients in Kansas. As a 1099 contractor, you will join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care through a HIPAA-compliant video conferencing platform. This role offers flexibility, allowing you to set your own schedule while contributing to Headspace's mission of making mental health support accessible to everyone.

In this position, you will conduct teletherapy sessions, including 60-minute intake appointments and 45-minute follow-ups, with concurrent note-taking expected during sessions. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate clinical case notes in the electronic medical record (EMR) system within 48 hours of each session. Additionally, you will collaborate with a care team that includes health coaches, other therapists, psychiatrists, and external care providers to ensure comprehensive support for clients.

Candidates must have at least three years of experience providing clinical psychotherapy to individuals, couples, or families. An independent clinical license in good standing at the Master or Doctoral level is required, along with the BC-TMH credential if mandated by the state of Kansas. Applicants should be able to offer a minimum of 10 sessions per week, with flexibility to adjust as needed. Proficiency in evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, ACT, and mindfulness, as well as experience with risk management and higher acuity cases, is essential. Familiarity with telehealth technology and a commitment to providing culturally responsive care are also important.

Compensation ranges from $69 to $74 per teletherapy session, with exact rates determined during the interview process based on factors such as location, licensure type, experience, specializations, languages spoken, and populations treated. Session rates include time for concurrent note-taking. Headspace provides malpractice insurance coverage and access to a 12-month subscription to their app, offering a wealth of mindfulness and mental health resources.

Joining Headspace offers the opportunity to be part of a community dedicated to improving mental health accessibility. The organization emphasizes continuous professional development through access to a best-in-class training institute focused on evidence-based approaches and culturally responsive practices. With a supportive network of peers and experts, Headspace fosters an environment where therapists can collaborate, connect, and grow while delivering exceptional care to clients.
