Headspace is seeking licensed therapists to join our Talent Community for future part-time opportunities. As a therapist with Headspace, you will be part of a dedicated team providing accessible mental health support through our comprehensive platform, which includes coaching, therapy, psychiatry, and EAP services. Our mission is to make mental health care available to everyone, regardless of their background or experience.
In this role, you will deliver high-quality teletherapy sessions via a HIPAA-compliant video conferencing platform. Responsibilities include conducting intake and follow-up appointments, maintaining accurate clinical case notes within 48 hours, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team comprising health coaches, therapists, psychiatrists, and external care providers. Additionally, you will be expected to keep your availability calendar up to date and manage your licensure documentation.
Candidates must possess an independent clinical license to practice in good standing at the Master or Doctoral level and have a minimum of three years of experience providing clinical psychotherapy to individuals, couples, or families. Proficiency in evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, ACT, and mindfulness is required, along with experience in risk management and handling higher acuity cases. Familiarity with care delivery technology and a commitment to providing culturally responsive care are also essential.
The compensation for this contract position ranges from $66 to $90+ per teletherapy session, depending on factors such as state of residence, licensure type, experience, specializations, languages spoken, and populations treated. Session lengths are 60 minutes for intake and 45 minutes for follow-up appointments, with concurrent note-taking included in the session rate.
