ISDA Negotiator

Axiom is seeking an ISDA Negotiator to join our team and support global clients in the banking and financial services sector. This role involves working within a dynamic environment, providing expertise in derivatives documentation and negotiation. Axiom is a global leader in high-caliber, on-demand legal talent, enabling legal departments to drive efficiency and growth.

The ISDA Negotiator will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a range of documents, including ISDA Master Agreements, GMRA, GMSLA, and other relevant contracts. The role requires analyzing and resolving technical issues during negotiations, managing a portfolio of live matters, and building productive relationships with key stakeholders and relationship managers. Additionally, the negotiator will contribute to creating an open and progressive team environment, recognizing the diverse needs of team members.

Candidates should have a legal background with 5-12 years of experience in derivatives documentation and negotiation, particularly with ISDA agreements. While in-house experience within financial services is beneficial, it is not essential. A solid understanding of principles, practices, and procedures related to ISDA negotiation and execution is required, along with excellent academic credentials and a strong analytical mindset.
