Instructional Designer
The Instructional Designer at Diligent Corporation will be responsible for creating engaging eLearning courses and other learning content that enable clients, partners, and staff to effectively use the Diligent platform to drive professional success. This role involves collaborating with subject matter experts to identify training needs, designing and developing instructional materials, and employing various mediums to maximize engagement.
Key responsibilities include designing and developing instructional materials such as e-learning modules, instructor-led training, and blended learning solutions. The Instructional Designer will analyze client personas to ensure content relates to clients' use cases and workflows, utilize style guides and best practices to create best-in-class content, and develop and manage project timelines to ensure instructional design projects are completed on time. Additionally, the role involves maintaining existing courses to ensure they are up to date, engaging with learners through various channels, incorporating AI tools to enhance content development, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to promote client training content.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in instructional design, with a background in fields such as Instructional Design, Topic-Based Authoring, Technical Writing, Computer Science, or Education. Familiarity with course authoring, audio editing, and video production technologies (e.g., Articulate Rise, Camtasia, Adobe Creative Suite) is required, along with experience in microlearning content development and AI tools. Knowledge of Learning Management Systems administration, the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines, a collaborative mindset, and a growth mindset with a willingness to learn new tools and processes are also essential. Understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design models is necessary.
