Health Information Specialist II

Datavant is seeking a Health Information Specialist II to join our team dedicated to making health data secure, accessible, and actionable. This role is integral to our mission, focusing on the accurate and compliant processing of medical record requests, including subpoenas and legal documentation, while upholding patient privacy and HIPAA compliance.

In this position, you will manage advanced and complex Release of Information (ROI) requests, ensuring timely and precise fulfillment. Responsibilities include processing certified ROI requests and subpoenas, reviewing and validating authorizations and court documents, utilizing Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to retrieve and release medical records, and maintaining detailed documentation and workflow tracking. You will also support quality assurance initiatives and communicate professionally with internal teams regarding escalations or complex cases.

The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, advanced problem-solving skills, and effective time management abilities. Reliability, punctuality, and adaptability in a fast-paced, remote production environment are essential. Preferred qualifications include prior experience with subpoenas and legal ROI requests, proficiency with computer applications and document management systems, and strong organizational and communication skills.

This full-time, remote position offers a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM EST. Compensation ranges from $16 to $20.50 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
