Health Information Specialist I
The Health Information Specialist I at Datavant is an entry-level position responsible for processing all release of information (ROI) requests, specifically medical record requests, in a timely and efficient manner. Key responsibilities include reviewing, retrieving, and releasing medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and client-specific requirements. The specialist will process high volumes of record requests while meeting established turnaround times and quality standards. Additional duties involve maintaining detailed documentation, utilizing multiple electronic medical record (EMR) systems, and adhering to privacy and confidentiality protocols at all times.
Candidates must possess strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance, effective time management skills to meet production deadlines, and reliability in attendance and schedule adherence. Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues efficiently and adaptability to changing processes or workload volumes are also essential. A high school diploma or GED is required, and candidates must be 18 years of age or older.
The estimated base pay range per hour for this role is $15 to $18.32 USD.
