Hawaii Remote Licensed Mental HealthTherapist, 1099 Contractor
Headspace is seeking part-time, independently licensed therapists to provide virtual mental health services to clients in Hawaii. As a 1099 contractor, you will join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care through a HIPAA-compliant video conferencing platform. This role offers the flexibility to set your own schedule while contributing to Headspace's mission of making mental health support accessible to all.
In this position, you will conduct intake assessments and follow-up therapy sessions, utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness techniques. You will collaborate with a care team that includes health coaches, other therapists, psychiatrists, and external providers to ensure comprehensive support for clients. Timely documentation of clinical case notes within 48 hours of each session is required.
Candidates must possess an active, independent clinical license in Hawaii and have a minimum of three years of experience providing psychotherapy to individuals, couples, or families. Proficiency in evidence-based practices and measurement-based care is essential. Applicants should be comfortable with technology, including video conferencing and electronic medical records systems, and committed to providing culturally responsive care.
Compensation ranges from $85 to $90 per teletherapy session, with rates determined based on factors such as location, licensure type, experience, specializations, languages spoken, and populations treated. Session lengths are 60 minutes for intake and 45 minutes for follow-up appointments, with concurrent note-taking expected and included in the session rate.
