Group Product Manager, Travel Management
Engine is seeking a Group Product Manager for its Travel Management vertical to lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution of key product lines within the company. This role involves overseeing a team of product managers and collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, partnerships, compliance, and go-to-market, to develop and scale a premier travel management experience. Engine is a rapidly growing company that has rebranded from "Hotel Engine" to "Engine" in Summer 2024, reflecting its expansion into a comprehensive business travel and spend management platform. The company serves over 30,000 businesses, supporting more than 1 million travelers and billions in annual bookings.
In this role, the Group Product Manager will be responsible for leading the end-to-end strategy and execution of the travel management function, which is central to Engine's platform. Key duties include setting the vision and roadmap for travel management products, managing team strategy, resource allocation, goal setting, and strategic execution. The position requires balancing long-term and short-term objectives, as well as aligning individual team goals with broader product area goals. Collaboration with cross-functional design and engineering leaders to develop the overarching team strategy is essential. The manager will oversee teams working on areas such as roles, permissions, account setup, travel policies, reporting, insights, and strategic integrations. A hands-on approach to product development is also expected.
Candidates should have over 10 years of experience in product management, including at least 2 years in a people management or group product management role. A proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and launching successful financial products at scale is required. The ideal candidate will have a relentless focus on solving real problems for customers, with strong user experience instincts and analytical rigor. Comfort and experience working with technical teams are essential, as is a hands-on, collaborative mindset with a passion for scaling new products from the ground up.
Compensation for this role includes a competitive base salary ranging from $213,775 to $295,900 USD, with additional opportunities for bonuses, commissions, and equity.
