GNC Engineer (Guidance, Navigation, and Control Systems)
STR is seeking a GNC Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to developing advanced technologies with significant impacts on national security. The role involves creating control algorithms for aerospace applications and analyzing GNC systems. Candidates should be proficient in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, and MATLAB. The position is based in Melbourne, Florida.
Key responsibilities include developing advanced control system algorithms for aerospace applications, creating algorithms for sensor and system research, and analyzing aerospace GNC systems, both hardware and software. The role also involves implementing models and algorithms in Python, C/C++, and/or MATLAB, collaborating with skilled developers, and participating in laboratory and field tests to support the verification and improvement of technical solutions.
Required qualifications include an active Top Secret security clearance, a Master's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field, or a Bachelor's degree with three years of equivalent experience. Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and/or MATLAB is essential, along with experience in implementing aerospace control algorithms, filters, and models, and in developing and delivering technical presentations.
The full-time salary range for this position is $112,000 to $154,000 annually. Offers are based on factors such as experience, education, training, key skills, security clearances, and prevailing market conditions.
