Global Raw Materials Developer, Yarn Technologist

The Global Raw Materials Yarn Technologist at Alo Yoga leads Tier 3 yarn engineering and validation, supporting the company's yarn platforms. This role is pivotal in driving yarn selection, ensuring technical alignment, and overseeing supplier execution to guarantee that yarn performance meets Alo's durability and aesthetic standards.

Key responsibilities include leading Tier 3 yarn development and execution for textile programs, developing and maintaining yarn specifications, coordinating required testing and validation for Tier 3 yarns, partnering directly with fiber producers and yarn suppliers to align on technical execution and quality standards, providing Tier 3 yarn expertise to support broader fabric developments, troubleshooting recurring fabric and garment issues related to yarn inputs, and managing yarn-related documentation and data integrity.

Candidates should have over six years of experience in yarn engineering, yarn development, or Tier 3 raw materials roles, with strong exposure to yarn systems and knit performance requirements. Expertise in yarn architecture (spun and filament), fiber selection, and performance translation into knit structures is essential. Experience working directly with Tier 3 suppliers and partnering with Tier 2 mills and Tier 1 knitters is required. Strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in PLM systems and Excel are also necessary.

The base salary range for this position is $90,000 to $95,000 per year. Additional rewards may include performance bonuses, long-term incentives, a PTO policy, and other progressive benefits.
