Global Head of Sanctions

The Global Head of Sanctions at OKX will lead the development and continuous evolution of the company's global sanctions compliance program, ensuring alignment with various international sanctions regimes. This role involves providing real-time guidance on sanctions risks associated with new products, geographies, customer segments, and counterparty relationships. The position is integral to OKX's Compliance function, which is responsible for fostering a robust compliance culture within the organization.

Key responsibilities include overseeing the design and implementation of sanctions screening tools, managing the use of blockchain analytics platforms to identify exposure to sanctioned entities, and handling voluntary self-disclosures and license applications with regulatory bodies. The role also entails drafting and enforcing global sanctions policies, overseeing due diligence processes, designing training programs, and engaging with regulatory authorities and industry bodies.

The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in leading global compliance or sanctions functions, with a proven track record of operational excellence in sanctions compliance programs. Deep technical expertise in crypto-specific sanctions risks is essential, along with a history of constructive engagement with regulatory bodies such as OFAC. The candidate should demonstrate proactive risk identification and the ability to translate traditional sanctions compliance frameworks into the decentralized nature of blockchain.
