Associate General Counsel

The Associate General Counsel will join OKX's European Legal team, reporting to the Head of Legal EU based in Malta. This role focuses on supporting OKX's European entity, providing comprehensive legal guidance within the rapidly evolving cryptocurrency industry.

Key responsibilities include advising on legal risks associated with new and existing crypto assets, managing the legal aspects of the new asset review process, and handling contract negotiations and drafting. The role also involves managing civil or regulatory litigation matters, collaborating with the compliance team on licensing and regulatory communications, and assisting with corporate governance tasks such as maintaining subsidiaries and preparing board materials.

Candidates should possess a law degree from an accredited university in Malta or any EU jurisdiction and be warranted to practice law in Malta or another EU country. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience at a top-tier law firm or in-house legal team, preferably within the financial services or cryptocurrency sectors. A basic understanding or strong interest in cryptocurrency and blockchain technology legal issues is essential, along with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
