Global Business Operations Manager
The Global Business Operations Manager at Workstream will lead and oversee the company's data operations, focusing on high-volume data collection for the robotics division. This role involves managing a distributed team of Video Data Contributors and ensuring the quality and compliance of collected data. In this role, the manager will be responsible for leading and mentoring a large, distributed team, overseeing a physical Workstream Lab, and conducting weekly "Office Hours" to troubleshoot contributor issues. They will collaborate with the Recruiting team to provide technical criteria for candidates, ensure seamless onboarding with People Ops, and coordinate equipment verification. Additionally, the manager will lead a team of reviewers to audit footage for usability, update training materials based on common failure points, and act as the final escalation point for technical issues. Financial and compliance oversight, including managing compensation structures and ensuring data privacy, will also be key responsibilities.
Candidates should have at least 6 years of experience in Operations Management, particularly in leading distributed or gig workforces. A strong technical proficiency is required, with the ability to manage and troubleshoot multi-camera hardware setups. Experience in managing global teams and understanding cultural and logistical differences is essential. An analytical mindset to identify and address issues in data collection processes is crucial. Preferred qualifications include experience in AI data labeling or computer vision data collection, hardware logistics, and a background in BPO management.
