General Manager - Valley Fair
The General Manager at ALO's Valley Fair location is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the store's operations. This role involves creating a positive and productive work environment that aligns with ALO's mission of promoting mindful movement and better living. The General Manager will oversee sales, profitability, operational objectives, merchandising standards, and the development of a successful Sales, Operations, and Visual team.
Key responsibilities include developing and executing the brand's retail strategies, demonstrating strong business acumen through key performance indicators, and leading the team to meet sales goals. The General Manager will ensure the store team effectively communicates ALO's mission to guests, foster an environment of growth and inclusivity through development and coaching, and establish career progression plans to retain top talent. Additionally, the role involves partnering with the Operations & Visual Manager to maximize inventory accuracy, overseeing the execution of operational and visual guidelines, and supporting a safe and efficient work environment.
The ideal candidate will have over seven years of retail or related industry leadership experience, proficiency in MS Office applications, and exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. A business owner mindset with an entrepreneurial spirit, independent work ethic, and alignment with ALO's guiding principles are essential. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, perform various physical tasks, and stand and move throughout the entire shift. Open availability to work variable shifts, including peak days and weekends, is required.
Compensation for this position ranges from $95,000 to $120,000 annually, with eligibility for the company's Monthly Store Incentive program, potentially increasing total compensation.
