Full-Stack Software Engineer (Business Support)
IMC is seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our Business Support Engineering team in Amsterdam. This role focuses on developing and managing internal products for our Business Operations teams, including People Management, HR, Training, Recruitment, and Finance. These products are essential in enhancing and automating IMC's training and recruiting processes through reliable systems and self-service workflows.
As a full-stack software engineer, you will be responsible for the entire development lifecycle, from gathering requirements to delivering production-ready solutions. Key responsibilities include designing, building, testing, deploying, and maintaining internal Java/Spring Boot services that support various business workflows. Additionally, you will develop and maintain frontend applications using React and Next.js in TypeScript, manage services in AWS, implement infrastructure as code with AWS CDK, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and iterate on solutions. Ensuring quality through unit tests, integration tests, and performance testing is also a critical part of the role.
The ideal candidate will have over three years of software engineering experience with a proven track record of delivering end-to-end production systems. Strong proficiency in Java (preferably Java 11 or higher) and extensive experience with Spring Boot for building APIs and services are required. A solid understanding of modern front-end frameworks, particularly React.js, hands-on experience with AWS, and familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes are essential. Strong troubleshooting skills and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving are also important.
