Full Stack Engineer (Python)

Datavant is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join our Life Sciences Tech Hub in Barcelona. In this role, you will design and develop user-facing applications and backend services that enable secure, privacy-preserving access to high-quality healthcare data. Your work will directly support pharmaceutical companies, biotech innovators, and research organizations worldwide in their efforts to improve patient outcomes.

As a Full Stack Engineer, you will design and implement backend services using Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI. You will also build responsive front-end interfaces using React with TypeScript. Collaborating closely with Product and Design teams, you will develop and maintain RESTful APIs and data models, write automated tests, and optimize application performance, scalability, and security.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or has equivalent practical experience. You should have at least 2 years of full-stack development experience, with proficiency in Python backend frameworks and front-end development using React. Experience with relational databases, version control systems, and integrating agentic code generation tools is also required.
