Frontend Engineering Manager | Design System
Wellhub is seeking a Frontend Engineering Manager to lead our Design System team in Brazil. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the productivity and design consistency across our teams. In this role, you will lead the Design System team, focusing on improving other teams' productivity and design consistency. You will design and implement straightforward solutions to complex scenarios, ensuring scalability, maintainability, performance, and accessibility. Collaborating closely with design and engineering teams, you will define processes to meet demands and guarantee deadlines. Serving as a focal point in communication with other teams and areas of the company, you will also act as a technical reference to the team and gain recognition across the company. Mentoring and guiding other engineers, you will foster a culture of technical excellence, ownership, and collaboration.
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience. You should have strong expertise in React and React Native, along with a solid understanding of related technologies. Experience in developing and/or using design systems by building quality frontend applications with a focus on performance and accessibility is essential. Proven experience in managing engineers and team processes to guarantee deliverables is required. You should be capable of architecting large-scale, multi-tier web applications. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, in Portuguese and English are necessary. A strong desire for learning and self-development is also important.
