As a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst at LaunchDarkly, you will play a pivotal role in the Strategic Finance team, contributing to financial planning, reporting, and operational insights. This position involves close collaboration with Accounting and various cross-functional teams to support month-end close processes, deliver monthly reporting, and develop financial models and analyses. You will become proficient in using Adaptive and are encouraged to leverage AI tools or automation to enhance productivity and insights. This role is ideal for individuals with at least two years of experience in finance or analytics, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to thrive in ambiguous situations.

Key responsibilities include leading or supporting Strategic Finance in month-end close and monthly forecasting, as well as monthly financial reporting and commentary to leadership. You will manage forecasts and build or extend Adaptive models, identifying opportunities to incorporate AI, automation, or process improvements to increase speed, accuracy, and scalability. Additionally, you will conduct ad hoc financial and business analyses to support strategic initiatives, business reviews, and cross-functional decision-making. Ensuring data integrity by monitoring, flagging anomalies, investigating root causes, and correcting issues is also a critical part of this role. Active participation in process documentation, knowledge sharing, and team learning is expected.

The ideal candidate possesses a minimum of two years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, or a related role, preferably within the SaaS or tech industry. A strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and an emphasis on accuracy are essential. The ability to work quickly while maintaining quality and consistency, along with comfort in problem-solving amid ambiguity and adapting to a fast-changing environment, is crucial. Strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and proficiency in spreadsheet applications are required. Prior experience in business partnering or stakeholder management, strong verbal and written communication skills, and experience with financial planning or FP&A tools such as Adaptive, Anaplan, or Planful are also necessary. Exposure to automation or AI tools, data pipelines, or scripting languages like Python or SQL is advantageous.

Target pay ranges for Level 2 positions are as follows: Zone 1 (San Francisco/Bay Area or NYC Metropolitan Area, Boston, Seattle) - $84,000 to $116,000; Zone 2 (Irvine, LA, Monterey, Santa Barbara, Santa Rosa, Austin, Portland, Philadelphia, Chicago) - $76,000 to $104,000; Zone 3 (all other US locations) - $71,000 to $98,000. For Level 3 positions: Zone 1 - $106,000 to $145,000; Zone 2 - $95,000 to $131,000; Zone 3 - $90,000 to $124,000.
