Full Stack Engineer, Experimentation
LaunchDarkly is seeking a skilled Full Stack Engineer to join our Experimentation team. This team is dedicated to building a robust experimentation platform that empowers customers to run impactful, data-driven experiments seamlessly and at scale. As a Full Stack Engineer, you will collaborate with a cross-functional team of backend, frontend, and full stack engineers, along with product managers, data scientists, and designers, to develop a product that balances power and accessibility.
In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of scalable and performant services using Go and RESTful APIs, as well as user experiences built with React and TypeScript. Your responsibilities will include leading limited scope features from definition to deployment, identifying and troubleshooting performance issues, and participating in efforts to optimize service reliability. Additionally, you will work closely with product managers, engineers, data scientists, and designers to implement new features and iterate on existing functionality.
The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of hands-on experience building full stack web applications, with familiarity in TypeScript, React, Node, and Go being preferred but not required. A solid grasp of software engineering principles, design patterns, and coding best practices is essential. Exposure to building or maintaining scalable, production-grade systems, as well as familiarity with observability practices and tools, will be advantageous. Strong collaboration and communication skills, along with a team-oriented mindset, are also important.
Compensation for this role varies based on geographic location. For Zone 1 (San Francisco/Bay Area or NYC Metropolitan Area, Boston, Seattle), the salary range is $171,200 - $235,400. For Zone 2 (Irvine, LA, Monterey, Santa Barbara, Santa Rosa, Austin, Portland, Philadelphia, Chicago), the range is $154,100 - $211,860. For Zone 3 (all other US locations), the range is $145,500 - $200,090.
