Export Controls Compliance Counsel
The Export Controls Compliance Counsel will join Axiom's Global Trade Compliance team, supporting a leading FAANG-level technology company. This role focuses on enhancing and maintaining a sophisticated export controls compliance program within a global organization, addressing complex matters at the intersection of technology, geopolitics, and international trade.
Key responsibilities include developing and implementing export controls compliance policies and procedures tailored to business operations. The counsel will provide guidance on U.S. export controls laws, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and support global export compliance initiatives such as process improvements and automation tools. Collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to monitor and respond to evolving export controls and sanctions requirements is essential.
Candidates should have over five years of experience in export controls, international trade compliance, or a related field, with a strong focus on EAR. Demonstrated, hands-on experience with export classification, compliance program development, and risk assessment is required. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments are also important.
The estimated total compensation for full-time Axiom attorney roles ranges from $104,500 to $325,000 per year. Compensation decisions are based on various factors, including experience, skills, certifications, location, and business needs.
