Export Control Specialist
The Export Control Specialist at Voyager Technologies, Inc. plays a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with export regulations related to advanced technology, particularly in the realms of human spaceflight and the International Space Station. Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer within the Legal department, this fully remote position is integral to maintaining the company's adherence to relevant export laws and regulations.
Key responsibilities include assisting in the development and implementation of export compliance policies and procedures, preparing and drafting export license applications and agreements for submission to government agencies, and collaborating with internal teams to accurately classify products, technologies, and services. Additionally, the specialist monitors and tracks active export licenses, maintains comprehensive records, supports internal audits to identify compliance risks, and serves as a primary point of contact for routine compliance inquiries.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience, along with a minimum of three years in export compliance. A working knowledge of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), including licensing requirements and classifications, is essential. Experience in trade compliance and U.S. Customs is considered a plus.
Voyager Technologies offers a competitive base salary ranging from $85,000 to $115,000, depending on experience, skills, and location.
