Entry Level Paralegal

Wilson Elser, a prominent defense litigation law firm with over 1,300 attorneys across 43 offices nationwide, is seeking an Entry Level Paralegal to join their Milwaukee office. This full-time, in-office position offers a unique opportunity for recent graduates or individuals enrolled in paralegal or legal studies programs to gain comprehensive experience in civil litigation within the firm's Paralegal Service Center.

The selected candidate will be responsible for preparing summaries of deposition transcripts, assembling chronologies of key documents—including medical records—and assisting with trial preparation. Additional duties include drafting subpoenas, notices of deposition, and standard discovery requests, as well as conducting investigative research on opposing parties and expert witnesses. Effective management of documents and organization of case files are also integral to this role.

Applicants must possess an associate’s degree from an ABA-approved Paralegal Studies Program or a bachelor’s degree. Strong computer skills, particularly proficiency in the MS Office Suite and document management systems, are essential. The role requires exceptional attention to detail, organizational abilities, and clear, effective communication skills, both oral and written. Candidates should be capable of multitasking, managing various daily demands, working independently, and demonstrating proactive initiative.
