Entry-level Paralegal (Criminal Defense)

The United Firm, a dynamic nationwide law firm specializing in Personal Injury, Workers’ Compensation, Immigration Law, Criminal Defense, and Civil Rights, is seeking an Entry-level Paralegal to join its Criminal Defense team in Los Angeles, CA. As an Entry-level Paralegal, you will be responsible for maintaining communication with clients, providing timely case updates, and efficiently managing attorney schedules, including coordinating attorney-client meetings and court appearances. Your duties will also encompass processing criminal cases for trial preparation, drafting legal documents, handling data entry, and managing correspondence. Additionally, you will prepare subpoenas, request criminal history documentation, and coordinate appointments for defense attorneys with deputy prosecutors, depositions, and pretrial conferences.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in criminal defense, possess bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, and have prior experience as a paralegal or in another legal field. Familiarity with case management software and experience with federal criminal matters are also preferred.
