Entry-Level Attorney

The United Firm | La Liga Defensora, APC is seeking an Entry-Level Criminal Defense Attorney to join their team in the Bakersfield office. This premier law firm offers significant growth opportunities for dedicated attorneys. As an Entry-Level Attorney, you will report directly to the Managing Criminal Defense Attorney and collaborate with a team of experienced attorneys and legal assistants.

In this role, you will be responsible for advising clients on their legal rights, drafting legal documents, and representing clients in pretrial hearings. Your duties will include managing court appearances, trials, drafting motions, interviewing witnesses, and conducting legal research. Additionally, you will analyze case outcomes, manage a caseload, and prepare clients for depositions.

Ideal candidates will have a Juris Doctorate degree and active bar admission, with law graduates awaiting admission also considered. A demonstrated interest in Criminal Defense law through law school clinics, volunteer work, or internships is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to manage a caseload, and experience with case management software are advantageous. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.

The compensation for this position ranges from $80,000 to $90,000 annually, with potential for higher earnings based on experience. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid parking, paid time off, and more.
