Engineering Intern - HR/Payroll Systems
ALO is seeking a motivated and technically proficient Engineering Intern to join our Corporate Systems tech team. This role focuses on supporting the transformation of our Payroll systems, providing exposure to business process engineering, solution requirements, and internal system design. The internship runs from June 8th to July 31st, with interns working 40 hours per week at our Beverly Hills headquarters.
As an Engineering Intern, you will collaborate with the HR & Payroll Business team in the capacity of a Technical Analyst/Engineer. Your responsibilities will include documenting functional requirements for key projects, partnering with developers and engineers to create prototypes and functional design solutions, and developing code/programs in ERPs such as Oracle Fusion and FDM4. Additionally, you will create test scenarios and success criteria for functional solutions and lead or assist on projects using a hands-on approach.
The ideal candidate is currently pursuing or has recently completed a degree in Computer Science. Proficiency in programming languages such as JAVA, SQL & PL/SQL, PYTHON, or C is required, or a strong understanding of financial processes, accounting procedures, and financial applications. Candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Lucid Charts, and Google Docs. Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills, along with keen attention to detail and the ability to document requirements, are essential. The ability to speak in front of groups that include both business and IT partners is also important.
The base pay range for this position is $45 to $50 per hour, representing the current range for the non-exempt position. Please note that actual pay will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
