Engineering Intern - ERP Finance Systems
ALO is seeking a motivated and technically proficient intern to join our Corporate Systems tech team as a Software Engineering, Finance Systems Intern. This role offers the opportunity to support the transformation of our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, providing exposure to business process engineering, solution requirements, and internal system design. The internship program runs from June 8th to July 31st, with interns working 40 hours per week at our Beverly Hills headquarters.
In this role, you will apply theoretical knowledge from your academic studies to develop skills pertinent to a future career in financial systems. Responsibilities include collaborating with the Finance Business team as a Technical Analyst/Engineer, documenting functional requirements for key projects, partnering with developers and engineers to create prototypes and functional design solutions, and developing code/programs in ERPs such as Oracle Fusion and FDM4. Additionally, you will create test scenarios and success criteria for functional solutions, lead or assist on projects using a hands-on approach, and build interfaces or develop code for new functionality.
The ideal candidate is currently pursuing or has recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science. A strong foundation in programming languages such as Java, SQL & PL/SQL, Python, or C is essential. Alternatively, a solid understanding of financial processes, accounting procedures, and financial applications, with relevant coursework covering financial topics, is acceptable. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Lucidchart, and Google Docs, is required. Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills, along with the ability to document requirements with keen attention to detail and to speak effectively in front of groups comprising both business and IT partners, are also necessary.
The base pay range for this position is $45 to $50 per hour, representing the current range for this non-exempt position. Please note that actual pay will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
