Energy Market Analyst

The Energy Market Analyst position at Energy Exemplar involves supporting the Professional Services team in delivering modeling solutions to clients across Japan. The role focuses on power systems modeling and analysis using industry-leading tools such as PLEXOS, Aurora, and Adapt2. Key responsibilities include configuring, testing, and delivering energy market models tailored to client needs. The analyst will build and validate datasets for production cost modeling, capacity expansion, and market forecasting studies. Additionally, the role involves performing scenario analyses, interpreting model results to support client business decisions, and developing scripts to automate data preprocessing and reporting tasks.

Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Energy Systems, Economics, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical field. A minimum of 1–3 years of experience in energy modeling, grid planning, or energy consulting is required, including internships. Proficiency in Japanese at the N1 level on the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test is essential.
