Employment (Senior) Associate
Clifford Chance, a leading international law firm with over 30 offices worldwide, is seeking a Senior Associate to join their Employment team in Amsterdam. The firm is renowned for delivering high-quality legal advice that combines global standards with in-depth local expertise. The Amsterdam office has been serving clients for nearly half a century, offering a dynamic and collaborative environment.
In this role, the Senior Associate will advise clients on a diverse range of employment matters, including executive-level hiring and dismissals, designing remuneration policies, conducting investigations into issues like #MeToo and integrity breaches, and providing strategic counsel on incentive plans, cross-border restructurings, works council disputes, employee data protection, complex transfer of employees matters, pensions, and outsourcing. The position offers the opportunity to work with top-tier international clients, including leaders in technology, fintech, and other corporate sectors.
The ideal candidate will have 5–8 years of experience in employment law, predominantly gained in a law firm setting. A strong academic background with excellent credentials is essential. Fluency in both Dutch and English is required. The candidate should be a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and is driven to achieve shared goals. An innovative and solution-oriented approach, with a "make-it-work" attitude to tackle challenges head-on, is highly valued. Technical rigor, first-class drafting ability, and highly developed analytical and project management skills are also important.
