Billing Coordinator
Clifford Chance US LLP is seeking a full-time Billing Coordinator to manage the client billing process for an assigned group of partners. This role involves direct communication with partners, managing associates, and secretaries to handle various aspects of client billing. The position can be based in any of the firm's three US offices: New York, Washington DC, or Houston, TX, and reports to the Billing Supervisor.
Key responsibilities include preparing and distributing monthly prebills, processing comments and revisions from partners and associates, and monitoring time and disbursement transfers. The Billing Coordinator will also prepare and distribute draft bills for review and approval, ensure billing partner approval is obtained to finalize bills, and manage the submission and monitoring of e-bills. Additionally, the role involves posting bills in the client billing system, assisting in sending them to clients, and maintaining proper backups electronically filed in the firm's document management system.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of relevant legal billing experience in a law firm or professional services environment. A bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance is preferred. Strong client service skills, the ability to work under pressure, strategic and analytical thinking, excellent time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, e-billing software, and document management systems is required. The candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Clifford Chance US LLP offers a comprehensive benefits and compensation package. The salary range for this role is $78,000 to $94,000, commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.
