This role is integral to the firm's eDiscovery practice, which supports clients in litigation and investigations by providing comprehensive data management solutions. The position offers a hybrid work model, combining in-person and remote work, with travel requirements varying based on client needs and team dynamics.
In this role, the eDiscovery Consultant will establish and implement protocols for the e-discovery life cycle, including internal standards and best practices for the preservation and collection of electronic evidence. Responsibilities encompass compiling, organizing, categorizing, and verifying case-critical data across all stages of the eDiscovery process—preservation, collection, processing, review, and production. The consultant will also advise clients on data collection for large-scale litigation cases, ensuring adherence to document retention and chain-of-custody procedures. Additionally, the role involves creating and managing large data sets, utilizing industry-standard software tools to develop custom solutions tailored to client requirements, and addressing unexpected technical and operational challenges.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree, preferably in computer science, management information systems, or a related field. A minimum of six years of professional or consulting experience in eDiscovery is preferred. Proficiency with tools such as EnCase, Cellebrite, BlackBag, Microsoft SQL Server, Visual Basic, framework, Microsoft Access, SQL, Microsoft Exchange, and Lotus Notes/Domino is advantageous. Experience working on litigation cases alongside forensic accounting and legal teams is beneficial. Strong project management skills, including the ability to balance multiple tasks, self-prioritize, and meet deadlines, are essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are required, along with the ability to work full-time in both office and remote environments.
AlixPartners offers a comprehensive benefits program, including health, vision, dental, disability, 401(k), tuition reimbursement, identity theft protection, and mental wellness support. Employees receive a generous paid leave policy, including vacation/personal time, sick time, parental leave, and twelve holidays annually.
