Document Review Lawyer
Axiom is seeking a Document Review Lawyer with claims review experience to join our legal team and support our Fortune 500 clients. This remote role is based in the Greater Toronto area and requires full professional fluency in French, enabling effective communication in both written and spoken contexts.
In this position, you will be responsible for reviewing and validating claims to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable policies, contracts, and legal standards. Your duties will include analyzing complex and legacy claims, conducting detailed document reviews in both French and English, performing discovery-related tasks such as issue spotting and organizing materials for legal proceedings, and executing privilege reviews to appropriately categorize protected or confidential documents.
The ideal candidate will have over two years of experience in claims, investigations, or employment law, along with excellent communication and writing skills to collaborate across multiple departments. Strong attention to detail is essential for handling document-intensive review work, and the ability to manage sensitive subject matters is crucial. A background in legal review or claims processing is required, with prior experience in document review preferred. Bilingual fluency in French and English is mandatory.
The estimated total compensation for this role ranges from $125,000 to $130,000 annually. Compensation decisions are based on various factors, including experience, skills, certifications, location, and business needs.
