Director of Enterprise Architecture

ALO is seeking a Director of Enterprise Architecture to lead the architectural vision for its eCommerce and core platforms. This role involves collaborating with engineering, product, and business leaders to design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient systems that support the company's growth and evolution.

The Director will be responsible for overseeing solution and enterprise architecture across the eCommerce ecosystem, including storefronts, checkout, payments, order management, inventory, pricing, promotions, and integrations. Key duties include designing end-to-end customer and operational flows, guiding hands-on implementation with engineering teams, and defining architectural standards and patterns for eCommerce and platform systems.

Candidates should have 10–15+ years of experience in software engineering and architecture, with significant depth in solution and enterprise architecture. Deep eCommerce domain expertise is required, including experience designing and scaling systems for high-traffic storefronts, checkout, payments, order management, and pricing. Proven experience with high-scale, high-availability, customer-facing systems is essential, along with strong grounding in software architecture fundamentals and hands-on experience with modern architectures and technologies.

The base salary range for this position is $240,000–$260,000 per year. Additional rewards may include performance bonuses, long-term incentives, and a PTO policy.
