Director of Engineering, Applied Intelligence & Data Platforms

The Director of Engineering, Applied Intelligence & Data Platforms at LVT will lead the development of the company's core data and intelligence platform. This role involves integrating distributed cloud services and applied AI to transform extensive sensor data into actionable insights. The position is based in Seattle, Washington, and reports directly to the Chief Technology Officer.

Key responsibilities include developing a technical AI strategy aligned with business goals, designing multi-region distributed services for IoT sensors and cameras, and mentoring a team of machine learning engineers, MLOps engineers, and data scientists. The director will also oversee the architecture and implementation of agentic AI frameworks and manage the integration of data pipelines from cloud services to edge devices like NVIDIA Jetson.

Candidates should have over 10 years of engineering experience, including at least 5 years in applied AI/ML leadership. A deep understanding of modern cloud technologies, IoT infrastructure, and proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java is essential. Experience with AI frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch and deploying models on edge hardware is also required.

The annual salary for this role ranges from $243,000 to $324,000, determined by location, experience, and education. Additional compensation includes a bonus structure tied to goal achievement and participation in the employee equity program.
