Director, Global Logistics Programs & Solutions
The Director of Global Logistics Programs & Solutions at ALO is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the company's global logistics operations. This role involves managing key performance indicators (KPIs) such as transit times, duty impacts, and cost-per-unit metrics across various service modes, including ocean, air, truck, and small parcel shipments. The position is based in Commerce, California, and reports directly to senior leadership within the logistics department.
Key responsibilities include leading a team of 2-5 managers and analysts focused on execution, analytics, provider management, and compliance support. The director will own and govern monthly logistics and landed-cost KPIs, track savings and margin impacts, and develop analytical models and dashboards to monitor performance by category, origin, lane, provider, and channel. Additionally, the role involves conducting business reviews, modeling tariff changes, developing cost models for sourcing decisions, and partnering with IT teams to improve data quality and system integrations.
Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in logistics or supply chain execution within the retail apparel or fashion industry. A bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or data analytics is required. Proficiency with logistics analytics platforms, business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI, and advanced Excel or SQL-based analysis is essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate ownership of logistics KPIs, landed-cost analytics, and lead-time optimization, along with a strong understanding of various shipping rates, tariffs, duties, customs processes, and their financial impacts. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are also necessary.
The base salary range for this position is $185,000 to $200,000 per year. Actual salaries will vary based on factors including location, experience, and performance. Additional rewards may include performance bonuses, long-term incentives, a PTO policy, and other progressive benefits.
