Director, Employment, Ethics & Compliance
Gong is seeking a Director of Employment, Ethics & Compliance to play a pivotal role in scaling the company's global operations. This position involves designing and implementing world-class, scalable employment compliance programs and serving as a strategic advisor to the People Team and Leadership Team.
The Director will provide legal support on global employment matters, including employee relations, benefits, leaves of absence, investigations, training, policy compliance, compensation reviews, job classification, recruiting, immigration, and litigation. They will also oversee ethics and integrity initiatives, such as reviewing the Code of Conduct, managing the global Ethics Hotline, and leading internal investigations. Additionally, the role involves partnering with Product and Engineering teams to ensure employment-related AI features align with global ethical standards and data privacy laws.
Candidates must possess a J.D. with active Bar Membership and have over 10 years of employment law experience, ideally combining top-tier firm and in-house roles. The role demands pragmatism, with the ability to assess risk quickly and provide actionable, low-friction advice suitable for a high-growth, technology-driven company.
The annual salary hiring range for this position is $275,000 - $305,000 USD.
