Director, Deal Desk (Strategy & Operations)

Gong is seeking a Director of Deal Desk (Strategy & Operations) to lead and enhance its sales-aligned Deal Desk function within the enterprise Quote-to-Cash (QTC) process. This pivotal role involves close collaboration with Sales, Legal, Billing, Revenue Recognition, and Systems teams to facilitate complex, global enterprise deals, ensuring pricing consistency, billing readiness, and revenue compliance.

Key responsibilities include serving as a strategic partner to Sales leadership on intricate deal structures, guiding sellers through pricing, packaging, and approval processes to expedite deal closures. The role also encompasses managing the entire deal lifecycle—from quote configuration to approval, contracting, billing, and revenue recognition—while proactively identifying and mitigating downstream risks such as billing complexities and operational friction.

The ideal candidate will possess over eight years of experience in Deal Desk, Revenue Operations, or related fields within the SaaS industry, including at least four years in leadership roles. A strong command of pricing strategies, contract risk management, billing, and revenue recognition is essential, along with proficiency in CPQ, CLM, and CRM systems. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, service-oriented mindset are also required.
