Director, Analytics Engineering
Tebra is seeking a Director of Analytics Engineering to lead and expand the data modeling function within its Business Data & Analytics organization. This role combines technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, focusing on the development and maintenance of data models that support business decision-making processes. The position is remote within the United States.
In this role, the Director will design and oversee a scalable semantic layer that serves as the authoritative source of truth for business metrics and KPIs. They will establish data engineering best practices, modeling standards, and data quality controls across the organization. Additionally, the Director will lead a team of analytics engineers, fostering a culture of high standards for code quality, peer review, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
Candidates should have over seven years of experience in data, with at least three years in analytics engineering or a closely related function. A minimum of five years in people management is required, demonstrating experience in building and developing teams. Proficiency with dbt and Snowflake is essential, along with experience partnering with Finance, FP&A, or business operations teams. Fluency with Tableau or comparable BI tools is also necessary.
