DFM Engineer, LATAM

Xometry is seeking a DFM Project Engineer specializing in 3D printing to join our team in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In this role, you will collaborate with customers across various industries, including general machine building, commercial, automotive, industrial, and medical devices, to evaluate the manufacturability of their designs and recommend solutions utilizing Xometry's extensive portfolio of 3D printing technologies and materials.

Key responsibilities include developing and implementing sourcing strategies, assisting production in troubleshooting order execution to ensure customer success, and interfacing directly with 3D printing shops, internal staff, management, and customers. Additionally, you will engage in special projects aimed at expanding the capabilities of our manufacturing partner network and improving our core competencies.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related technical field, with over five years of experience in an engineering and manufacturing environment focused on 3D printing, preferably in a multi-technology 3D printing shop. Essential skills include expertise in 3D printing technologies and material selections, experience with 3D printing software such as Materialise Magics and Rhino, and proficiency in general 3D CAD modeling software like SolidWorks. Strong communication skills in English and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced startup environment are also required.
