DevOps Engineering Manager

Gong is seeking a highly motivated DevOps Engineering Manager to lead and develop our new DevOps team in Dublin. This role involves building and managing a small, high-impact team focused on enhancing the infrastructure and operations of Gong's products developed in Dublin. As a key leader in our Dublin R&D hub, you will play a pivotal role in shaping both the technical landscape and the team culture.

In this position, you will oversee the design, deployment, and continuous improvement of secure, scalable, and reliable cloud infrastructure, primarily on AWS. Your responsibilities include driving the implementation of best practices and tooling for CI/CD and monitoring, automating and streamlining operations to enhance efficiency, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams such as R&D, Security, and Product to ensure seamless integration of DevOps practices.

The ideal candidate has over 8 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability, or Platform Engineering roles, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity. You should have a proven track record of building and operating scalable cloud environments, preferably AWS, and a deep understanding of infrastructure-as-code and GitOps methodologies. Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, and container orchestration in production is essential, along with a solid grasp of networking fundamentals, REST architecture, and cloud security concepts.
