Deputy Finance Manager- India Support
Fictiv is seeking a Deputy Finance Manager to oversee the financial, accounting, and tax operations of its newly established India office. This role is pivotal in developing and maintaining robust accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure strong internal controls, timely transaction processing, and accurate financial reporting. The Deputy Finance Manager will report directly to the Finance Manager and collaborate closely with the global finance team to support Fictiv's mission of enabling hardware innovators to build better products faster.
Key responsibilities include managing Fictiv India's general ledger and financial reporting, ensuring statutory compliance in bookkeeping, reporting, and taxation, and overseeing cash and foreign exchange management. The role also involves optimizing transactional structures and workflows for both local and cross-border accounting and payment processes. Additionally, the Deputy Finance Manager will prepare, review, and manage payroll, approve and pay local vendors, ensure timely financial closings, enforce corporate policies with local staff, and maintain compliance within the ERP system for customer purchases.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Business with an emphasis in Accounting; Inter CA or qualifications are preferred, along with knowledge of Income Tax and GST regulations. A solid understanding of RBI and ROC issues is advantageous. Candidates should have 8 to 10 years of experience in financial reporting and general ledger management, preferably within product or manufacturing firms or multinational companies. Experience working with business and tax authorities, strong English communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are essential. The role requires multitasking capabilities, the ability to work under pressure, and meeting deadlines, as well as flexibility to collaborate across time zones with Fictiv's US headquarters in San Francisco.
