Data Scientist
As a Data Scientist at WPP Media, you will play a pivotal role in transforming complex media and marketing data into actionable insights and innovative solutions that drive client success. WPP Media is WPP's AI-driven media operating unit, integrating media, data, and partnerships to deliver creative personalization at scale. Your work will directly contribute to the development of groundbreaking data products and services, enhancing WPP Media's data-driven capabilities.
In this role, you will design and implement advanced statistical models and machine learning algorithms to address key business challenges in media and advertising. Responsibilities include conducting in-depth data analysis to identify trends and patterns, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and pipeline efficiency, and communicating analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. Additionally, you will develop and maintain scalable data science models, working closely with MLOps and Data Engineering teams for seamless integration and performance optimization.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree plus relevant industry experience, or a Master's degree, in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Physics, or Operations Research. A minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience as a Data Scientist, preferably within the media, advertising, marketing technology, e-commerce, or consulting industries, is required. Proficiency in Python, experience with data processing and machine learning frameworks, and strong problem-solving skills are essential. Familiarity with MLOps principles and expertise in SQL for handling large datasets are also important.
