Data Governance Analyst (Position located in Bengaluru, India)
The Data Governance Analyst at KnowBe4 in Bengaluru, India, will be a key member of the Data and Analytics team, focusing on transforming data into valuable business insights. This role involves conducting comprehensive data analysis throughout the data lifecycle, including requirement gathering, data wrangling, model building, and visualization design. The analyst will collaborate closely with business stakeholders and the data engineering team to ensure data integrity and effective decision-making.
Key responsibilities include writing complex SQL queries involving multi-table joins, aggregations, and conditional filters. The analyst will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for specific data sources and their related business contexts. Additionally, they will lead departmental data analytics projects from inception to operationalization, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent with at least three years of experience, or a Master's/Ph.D. with no experience. Direct experience in data governance, data quality, business analysis, or data stewardship is essential. Proficiency in root-cause analysis of data anomalies, knowledge of data privacy regulations like CCPA and GDPR, and experience with data lineage mapping and enterprise data catalogs are required. Technical skills in Snowflake, dbt, and data visualization tools such as Looker or Tableau are also necessary.
