Data Engineer
As a Data Engineer at Similarweb, you will join the Data Labs (DL) department, a team dedicated to providing professional services for our super-premium customers. Similarweb is a leading digital intelligence platform that empowers over 4,300 clients worldwide, including industry leaders like Google, eBay, and Adidas, to make informed decisions that drive their digital strategies. Since our public listing on the New York Stock Exchange in 2021, we have continued to experience significant growth.
In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining big-data pipelines, designing and implementing complex, high-scale systems using a diverse range of technologies. You will collaborate closely with a team of skilled engineers and data scientists to develop and maintain our products. Your work will involve implementing solutions within the AWS cloud environment and utilizing Databricks with PySpark to process and analyze vast amounts of data.
The ideal candidate will possess a BSc degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience, with at least 3 years of server-side software development experience in languages such as C#, Go, or Python. Experience in building large-scale web APIs, particularly with microservices architecture, AWS, and databases like Redis, PostgreSQL, and Firebolt, is highly desirable. Familiarity with big data technologies such as Spark, Databricks, and Airflow, as well as experience in cloud environments like AWS or GCP, will be advantageous. Additionally, knowledge of machine learning pipelines and applications, along with familiarity with LLM tools and frameworks, is beneficial.
