The Data AS Consultant at Similarweb is a pivotal role within the Data Strategy and Integration team, focusing on delivering technical leadership and solution design for enterprise projects. This position is integral to the pre-sales process, aiming to drive technical adoption and ensure customer success for both new and expanding opportunities. The consultant will report directly to the Team Manager of Data Strategy and Integration, with a dotted line to the Regional Head of Japan.

Key responsibilities include serving as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise clients, translating their business objectives into scalable technical architectures. The role involves designing and documenting data integration frameworks utilizing Similarweb’s APIs, Data-as-a-Service feeds, and platform products to meet diverse enterprise data needs. Additionally, the consultant will architect comprehensive data delivery pipelines into client ecosystems, such as Snowflake, Databricks, S3, or Google Cloud Platform, and provide technical workshops and proofs of concept to guide clients on best practices for data ingestion, normalization, and querying.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, coupled with over five years of experience in pre-sales, solution architecture, or data consulting, with a strong emphasis on technical delivery. Essential technical expertise includes a deep understanding of cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data warehousing frameworks like Snowflake, Databricks, and Redshift. Proficiency in SQL and data modeling, fluency in REST and GraphQL APIs, and a solid grasp of data file formats such as CSV, JSON, Parquet, and Delta are also required. The role demands excellent communication and presentation skills, with fluency in both Japanese and English, and a proven track record of translating business requirements into technical solutions for large enterprise data ecosystems.
