Customer Operations Engineering Lead
Muon Space is seeking a Customer Operations Engineering Lead to join our Satellite Operations Team. This role involves creating scalable processes for managing customer data requests and deliveries, ensuring they are deconflicted across Muon's missions and processed according to contractual obligations. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Mission Management, Data Processing, and Satellite Operations Engineers to optimize the data collection and delivery lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include leading customer-focused collection planning, schedule deconfliction, and reporting activities within the Satellite Operations Team. The role requires ensuring timely data collection and delivery across Muon's missions in line with customer requirements, coordinating with internal stakeholders and customers to prioritize collection activities appropriately. Additionally, the position involves developing standard collection planning, performance monitoring, and reporting processes that scale across current and future missions, performing capacity planning for the Customer Operations team, and developing onboarding and training programs for future hires. The lead will also ensure customer inquiries are addressed accurately and within the required response time.
Candidates should have over seven years of experience in a customer-facing technical role, such as technical account management, solutions architecture, or professional services. Experience in leading teams with a track record of hiring, mentoring, and scaling to meet business needs is essential. The role requires demonstrated ability in creating customer-focused processes and strategies that are scalable in a high-growth environment, managing relationships with sophisticated customers in demanding sectors like defense, aerospace, or government. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, are crucial. Excellent time management and organization skills are also necessary. A willingness to obtain a security clearance is required.
The salary range for this role is $144,000 to $215,000, depending on the candidate's skills, geographic location, qualifications, and experience as defined during the interview process. In addition to salary, full-time employees receive equity compensation and benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, short and long-term disability and life insurance.
