Criminal Law Assistant

The United Firm | La Liga Defensora, APC is seeking a Criminal Defense Paralegal to join their Los Angeles office. This role is integral to the firm's criminal defense team, providing essential support to attorneys and clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in criminal defense and a commitment to upholding the law.

As a Criminal Defense Paralegal, your primary responsibilities will include maintaining communication with clients, managing attorney schedules, and preparing legal documents for trial. You will also handle court calendars, issue subpoenas, and coordinate with law enforcement agencies. Additionally, assisting victims with restitution information and court dates will be part of your duties.

Candidates should have at least one year of experience in criminal defense, be bilingual in English and Spanish, and possess prior experience as a paralegal or in a related legal field. Proficiency with case management software is also required.

The compensation for this position ranges from $20 to $32 per hour, depending on experience. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, catered lunches, paid parking, and paid time off.
